Fall in the South

In contrast to the beautiful snow that we saw in Rachel’s post from Wyoming, I thought I’d post some shots of our garden so she can show those Wyoming friends of her’s what fall in the south looks like.

We do get some nice fall color on our little country road, but it’s still a little early for that.

So here is a stroll through the garden in October.

Southern Fried Squash anyone?

One of the many roses..  Maggie

He sure wants to get to those chickens.

Did I mention that almost all of our roses are antique roses? This one is Belinda’s Dream.

And.. Lafter

These roses are the view out of my kitchen window. I am able to enjoy them everyday.

It seems that I spend a lot of time looking out that window. It is right over the  kitchen sink, which somehow attracts dirty dishes like a magnet. Which in turn makes me spend my time there. I’m really glad I enjoy the view.

I can also see the chickens from that window.

Rachel’s cat  Sadie.

This was my favorite snow picture from Rachel but she didn’t put it in her post so I thought I’d show it to you.

I think her truck looks like one of the cars from the Cars movie.

Happy Fall Y’all,
