Patriotic Flag Classes at the Farmhouse Studio

I thought I would share some pictures with you from my recent flag painting class. This is the Rustic Flag that we painted.

Rustic Flag new I really love decorating in red white and blue around this time of the year. I had been wanting to paint a flag for a while so I came up with this one out of bead board. I really enjoyed painting it and had a great time sharing it with these other ladies who came to the studio  to paint their own flags.

We used Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint for this project. The colors we used are Ironstone, Tricycle, Flow Blue, and Artissimo.  Just look at the amazing chippy finish that this paint will give naturally.

This next group of ladies were real troopers. The power went out as soon as they arrived at the studio but they didn’t give up, they stuck out the heat and lack of light to finish painting their flags.

We ended up having to go outside on the porch to finish up painting because the light was getting so dim inside that is was difficult to see well enough to paint.

Outside I had to compete with horses and cats, but we managed to finish the flags. This was by far the most interesting class I’ve ever had. Dealing with the heat and lack of light was not fun.

I love seeing all of the variations in flags based on each persons individuality.

1st flag class This was such a fun project to paint. I hope to be hosting  more project classes at the Farmhouse Studio soon.

Happy Painting,
