Make this wonderful winter stove top potpourri for yourself or to give as a gift. Your house will not only smell amazing it will feel so cozy on a cold winter day.

Pro Tip

If you are making winter potpourri for yourself to use right away just slice up the fruit and place straight into the pot for simmering. Add any other spices you like and you are all set. No need to dehydrate anything.

Winter Stove Top Potpourri

Equipment

  • oven or dehydrator
  • cutting board
  • knife

Ingredients

  • 1 orange
  • 1 apple
  • 5 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 TBS whole clove
  • 4 sprigs rosemary

Instructions

  • Slice fruit as evenly as possible into 1/8-1/4" slices
  • Place sliced fruit into a dehydrator or oven and dry until done, checking often.
  • Let dehydrated fruit cool, then add to a decorative container for gift giving.

Add dried potpourri to a pot of water. Place on stove top and simmer on low setting. Check often and add more water as need to insure the potpourri remains covered with water at all times.
